Averi Anthony


(Production)

Averi is a part of the production crew. This is her first time participating in an AHS production. She can’t wait to see everyone’s hard work come to life after a long journey on the yellow brick road. She hopes that everyone enjoys watching and is transported directly to Oz!

Meridian Anthony

Meridian Anthony is a techie here at AHS. This is her fourth production in the Atholton Theater Department!! She is very sad that this is her last production, as she will be graduating in 2026. Meridian cherishes the friends that she has made throughout her theater journey, and will miss this department dearly.

Paulette Astete-Morgana

Paulette is as happy as a munchkin to be in her first production at Atholton! She has had a merry ‘ole time during rehearsals, making new friends and enjoying her time with the wonderful producers. Paulette is a junior who enjoys reading, writing, and taking strolls with friends on sunny days down the Yellow Brick Road! She is very excited to be in many more Atholton productions next year and is very excited for you to see The Wizard of Oz!

A huge thank you to my Family for working around the rehearsal clock and all of my loved ones who have hyped me up throughout the show! A tremendous thank you to all the staff and crew who worked hard on this show, as well as the extremely talented cast!

Erica Ballarotto

Erica is a freshman, and it is her first time performing for the AHS theatre department. It’s been a long yellow brick road to travel before the performance, but it is well-worth it to be a part of an amazing show. Enjoy a twister ride to Oz!

Laila Barnes

Laila Barnes is an 11th grade student and is making her debut for AHS’ The Wizard of Oz. She is grateful to be in a production full of brains, heart, and courage, and hopes you enjoy the show as much as she has enjoyed being a part of it. There truly is no place like home like the AHS theater.

Evie Bis

Evie Bis is in 9th grade. This is her first show at Atholton. She loves spending time with friends and imagining herself over the rainbow. She is really excited for everyone to see the Wizard of Oz.

I’d like to shout out my family for being super supportive and all the cast and crew of Wizard of Oz for making this possible.

Sebastian Bonilla

Sebastian Bonilla will have you ROARING with laughter and cannot wait for all the ap-PAWS! He has had so much fun working with all the amazing people in the AHS theater department and is proud to present what may be his best performance yet.

Special thanks to everybody in the cast and crew, getting to know you is the best part of theater. Shoutout Phoenix and John, two great friends, I’ll miss you so much. Thank you to my parents and siblings who always support me and to Ms. Adler, Barret and Lucy for believing in my talent.

Katie Brown

Katie is a senior and is so jittery to be in this production! This is her first show with Atholton on stage but she has previously helped out through tech. She enjoys cooking, playing Roblox, and karaoke nights with her friends. She loves seeing all of her friends at rehearsal and is so happy to be in this production.

Zachary Burnett

Zach is a sophomore and he wishes to bring you good news in the form of the Wizard of Oz! This is his second show as production head, and second show he’s featured in! He hopes you enjoy!

Harper Byrns

Harper is a Sophomore and this is her third show at Atholton and second show in crew! She has really enjoyed this production and especially enjoyed creating costumes and participating in vocal rehearsal.

Kevin Cao

Kevin is a junior and has been in AHS all 3 years! His most recent show being AHS Clue as the Singing Telegram. He cannot wait to show you wait they’ve been working on and hope you all enjoy the show.

Desmond Carter

This is Desmond’s second musical and third school production! If you are an avid Atholton Theatre patron, you may have seen Desmond as Professor Plum in CLUE: On Stage earlier this year. However, this musical takes quite a different road. One of Yellow Brick, you might say. May the cyclone spin all of you away to Oz tonight!… or is that a positive? Hmm…

I would like to thank my family for supporting my endeavors in theatre, to the cast, crew, and the pit for giving it their all. Finally, thanks to my sibling for being there.

Trey Casabianca

(Munchkin) (Flying Monkey) 

Trey is a 10th grader at Atholton and excited for his fourth production here. He can’t wait to show his favourite Munchkinland blue and prepare for his Flying Monkeys to officially take flight. He’s had a whirlwind of fun helping bring the County of the Land of Oz to life. Enjoy the show!

Alana Celestin

Alana Celestin is a junior at Atholton High School and this is her second musical ever in her musical career. She danced in Atholton’s SpongeBob last year and has been hooked ever since.

Lucia Chapa

Lucia is a sophomore and is thrilled to be making her AHS stage debut in The Wizard of Oz! She is an active member of Chamber Choir and loves expressing herself through both singing and dancing. Outside of school, Lucia performs with Young Artists of America, where she has been part of numerous productions. She has loved following the yellow brick road with this cast and bringing heart, courage, and sparkle to the Land of Oz. Lucia hopes you enjoy the magic over the rainbow as much as she has enjoyed being a part of it!

Marileigh “Mars” Chappel

Mars is a senior at Atholton and she has been doing the musical for all 4 years! Outside of theater she loves Colorguard, choir, field hockey, and a nice bouquet of poppies. She can’t wait to see where the Yellow Brick Road will lead her next!

Rebecca is an alto saxophonist making her debut on the Atholton stage! She is excited to be in the pit and travel somewhere over the rainbow!

Antonia is a junior at AHS and has been in 5 productions. She has had so much fun making costumes and being with her friends. She is so excited for you to come out and see The Wizard of Oz!

Michael Clark

(Carpentry Crew) (Pit) 

Michael Clark is a senior at AHS and has been involved in every production from Our Town up until Wizard of Oz. The last four years have been a cyclone that took him all around the school but he always found time for the merry ‘ole drama department. Oz is Michael’s last production at AHS, and it’s been quite a time, and he can only hope he gets to keep working in drama over the rainbow and in college.

AJ Clarke

Andre Clarke (AJ) is a senior at Atholton High School. The Wizard of Oz marks his fifth production with the wonderful Atholton Theatre Company—a place that has become as inspiring to him as the Emerald City. A born performer, AJ never needed to ask the Wizard for courage; whether competing in national dance competitions or auditioning for new roles, he steps forward with confidence, heart, and determination. He is excited to perform with the rest of the cast, taking one final stroll down the Yellow Brick Road with the friends and memories he’s made.

Sara "Kai" Cochran

(Head Of Costumes)

This is Kai’s 6th and final show at Atholton, it is her 5th show with Ms. Adler, and 4th and final show as the official head of costumes. Kai has been honored to work for this department for so long, and hopes everyone enjoys the show!

Penelope Cortes

(Amira Gulch) (Wicked Witch of the West)

In the Merry ol’ Land of Oz, the most wicked of them all is Penelope Cortes. They’re a senior at Atholton High School, and this is their sixth and possibly final show. With their dubious and mischievous spells and crafts, Penelope excels in the arts and photography, as well as cooking up a fire-ball essay. Whether in Oz or AHS, Penelope has always enjoyed performance and intends to follow the Yellow Brick Road to a future where the arts are respected and enjoyed by everyone. They hope to see you in the audience, although do be careful, the Wicked Witch’s minions are always lurking.

Amelia DeWitt

Amelia loves making music, discovering new artists, running, and watching true crime. This is her second year in the pit, and she’s so excited to be back!

Akash Dosaj

Akash is a sophomore on his 3rd production at Atholton. He’s spent so much time and effort working on the props and sets of the show. He also hopes you’ll have the heart, mind, and courage to enjoy the production!

Not in Kansas anymore, Jos Dumont arrives for his final show here at Atholton High School. Jos has been in theater here Atholton for 3 years since he came here via tornado after leaving Wilde Lake. He is so excited to perform for everyone, and hopes you enjoy the Wizard of Oz!

Encore is excited to follow the yellow brick road as Toto in The Wizard of Oz! She previously appeared on stage as Stray Mutt in Annie, participated in a national photoshoot, and will be co-starring in an upcoming episode of NBC’s The Hunting Party . A proud shelter rescue who’s just getting started, Encore is proof that there’s no place like a second chance. Follow her journey on Instagram  @pawstoapplause. 🐾✨

Aleena Farooqi

(Dorothy Gale)

Aleena is a senior in the Theatre Company at Atholton High School. She is beyond thrilled to be stepping into the ruby red slippers for her eleventh and final show in this department. Like Dorothy, Aleena has learned that there really is no place like home- for her that home has been the Atholton Drama Department. Along her own yellow brick road over the past four years, she has gained brains, courage, heart, and friendships that mean more to her than she can put into words. Aleena is endlessly grateful for every rehearsal, every performance, and every moment that has shaped her into the person she is today.

Thank you to my family, especially my mom, for always being so encouraging and supportive! Shout out to my little brother, Humza, for running lines with me, and to my little sister, Amana, for rocking it on the cello in pit. Thank you to my fellow seniors for making these last four years unforgettable! Thank you to our stage managers, Drama Boosters, cast, crew, and pit for making this production possible! Amana Farooqi

Amana Farooqi is a sophomore at AHS and is excited to be playing cello in the pit for this year’s production of The Wizard of Oz, marking her second year performing in the pit.

Eva Feng

Eva is a junior at AHS and this is her first year in crew but her second show overall!  She was part of the pit orchestra 2 years ago for Once Upon a Mattress. You can also find her somewhere over the rainbow with the chamber orchestra and marching band. When she’s not following the yellow brick road, she loves listening to music, playing guitar, and hanging out with friends and family.

Melan Fitsum

Melan is a 10th grader this is her debut on the AHS stage. She enjoys sleeping, sketching, and finding new hobbies. She enjoys playing in Pit and The Wizard of Oz’s whimsical music!

Canaan Floyd

Canaan is a Junior here at AHS who has been enrolled in the Atholton Band Program for three years. She has over 10 years of percussion experience and is excited to be performing her first musical!

Rosie Fontana

Rosie has been in pit for all four musicals and she has been with the stage management crew for 3 shows. She has had a great time and can’t wait for everyone to dance like a jitterbug.

Drake Fosnacht

Hi! Drake Fosnacht is a junior playing trombone for the third time in an Atholton musical. He really enjoys participating in all the Atholton music activities and was part of marching band leadership this year. He is already looking forward to his fourth and last year of marching band. Go Raiders!

Naomi Fuller

Naomi is in 11th grade, and has been in three AHS shows. Her peers in Wizard of Oz all have decent brains, good hearts, and plenty of courage! She knows that if she feels left out, she can follow the yellow brick road back to her theatre friends — or make new ones! She hopes watching The Wizard of Oz will make your troubles melt like lemon drops!

Phoenix is a senior and excited to be performing in their 5th (and final) show at AHS! John Genovese

John, a 10th grader, has been in two shows at AHS so far: Greek Mythology Olympiaganza, as Pollux, and as a police officer in CLUE. A massive fan of Oz, he is glad that he’s at least able to pretend to live there. However, he still wants a tornado to blow his house away.

Wizard of Oz is Sara’s fourth show with the AHS Theater Department, and it just keeps getting better! Sara is a sophomore who loves working backstage and can’t wait to continue with theater at Atholton.

Shreya Ghimire

Shreya is absolutely over the rainbow for her last show at Atholton. She’s had a wonderful time working with the cast and crew and can’t wait for everyone to see the hard work they’ve put into making an oz-some show! The cast, set, and costumes are anything but rusty, and she has no doubt this musical will be a roar-ing success thanks to Ms. Adler and all of the wonderful things she does.

Gavin is a student here at AHS, and this is his first play here at Atholton, and has been performing in plays since middle school and is excited to show all of you all the hard work we put in our new musical The Wizard of Oz.

This is Violet’s 15th musical production but first ever show at AHS! Violet is in 9th grade and enjoys drawing, making films and acting. It’s been a great journey along the yellow brick road and Violet has gotten to learn how the theatre department at AHS works. Expect a wicked performance from this cast and crew! ♡♡

I’d like to give a shout out to my family for always being so supportive. I’d also like to give a shout out to Sebastian Bonilla and Gavin Lampasone for their inspiring performances and talent 🙂

Noelle Herry

Noelle’s a 10 grader at AHS and making her crew debut. Noelle has really enjoyed her first experience in costumes, being able to see how the costumes come together is one of her favorite parts. Noelle also has enjoyed making new friends through the duration of the production and is excited to come back next year.

Katie Hoopes

Katie is a senior at AHS and this will be her third show. She enjoys reading, knitting, and hiking (down yellow brick roads). This is her second time doing pit and she is super excited for everyone to hear the amazing music in The Wizard of Oz!

Evan Howlett

(Ozian)

Evan Howlett is a sophomore in Atholton High School. He enjoys drawing and he hopes to be an author when he grows up.This is his debut on the AHS stage. He had a lot of fun performing in this show, and hopes he can be in the next one. He made sure to join  this musical, because he really regrets not joining or even going to see the SpongeBob Musical in spring 2025. Before that, he was in an ensemble in another musical in sixth grade. He really enjoyed being in musicals after that, but didn’t join the one in his freshman year, which to this day, he still regrets. Anyway, he is SUPER excited to be in another musical and 

super MEGA excited for you guys to see this play!

This Ozian is really cool. He lives in the emerald city for his day job, which is just to eat lunch then clock out. But at night he is an evil soldier for the Wicked Witch’s evil Winkie ensemble. You can find Ben Hritz in the play, the Wizard of OZ at Atholton High school in Columbia MD.

Julia Hu

Julia is a sophomore at AHS, and this is her second production in the Merry ‘Ole Land of Oz! She plays piano in the pit and often makes use of her brain while trying to count measures. You might also see Julia in the Chamber Orchestra & AHS Marching Band, or at Tri-M events. She hopes that the crazy, witch-filled music truly feels like a cyclone and that everyone enjoys their time following the yellow brick road!

Carissa is a senior at Atholton. This is her second show after Once Upon a Mattress in her sophomore year. When not sleeping in the Poppy Field, she enjoys reading, crocheting, and color guard. Playing with the pit is always filled with laughter and fun times, and she cannot wait for you to see all of the hard work that went into this production!

Zera is a freshman and this is her Atholton High School Theatre debut! Zera is a current Young Columbian and has been doing theatre for five years. She also enjoys dancing and singing, and is also a local pageant titleholder! She is so happy you came to see the Wizard of Oz!

Asher is a freshman and has been doing theatre for 5 years, and this is actually his second time doing The Wizard of Oz! It’s his first show onstage at Atholton, but he did help with tech for Clue. Xe have really enjoyed working on this show and are excited to see you over the rainbow!!

Yuna is in 11th grade and was a member of crew for one show before this. Her favorite character is Dorothy, and her favorite song in the program is “If I were king of the forest”

Ethan John

(Pit – Violinist)

Ethan is honored to return to the pit orchestra for the second time in his Atholton journey. From the dusty plains of Kansas to the gates of the Emerald City, he has enjoyed bringing this classic score to life. As a violinist, he spends 90% of his time practicing and 10% wondering if the Tin Man could use some rosin for his squeaky joints.

Nathan Johnson

Nathan is in the 12 grade.  This is his first show at Atholton High School. He has enjoyed working with fellow cast members and has experienced a new side of the school. He has been pushed in many ways and looks forward to future productions.

Zurie is excited to be part of this year’s production of The Wizard of Oz as a member of the costume crew. She enjoys helping bring the magic of Oz to life, from Munchkinland to the Emerald City. Zurie is thankful for the opportunity to travel down the Yellow Brick Road with such a talented crew, and she hopes you enjoy the show!

Come out, come out, wherever you are, and meet the young lady, who fell… because of her giant pink dress. Alanna Kelly is a sophomore at AHS and this is her fourth show here! She likes theatre, improv, crafting, baking, and just like the munchkins, her favorite color is blue! She has had so much fun doing this show and she hopes you enjoy it!

Josephine is excited for her debut in the pit! She loves playing cello and has had tons of fun playing these iconic songs in preparation for this show. May your troubles melt like lemon drops as all the music whisks you away to the Merry Old Land of Oz!

Gavin Lampasone

(Wizard of Oz)

Gavin is a senior at AHS and is excited to be part of this year’s production of The Wizard of Oz. While he has been involved in several productions at AHS, this journey down the yellow brick road has been especially memorable. Outside of theatre, Gavin enjoys filmmaking and creating content for his YouTube channel, Just Follow Me, where he shares his creativity and storytelling. He has loved working alongside such a talented cast and crew to bring a little Oz magic to life. Gavin hopes you sit back, relax, and enjoy this adventure somewhere “over the rainbow!”

Sophie Li

Sophie is a freshman, and this is her first time playing in the pit orchestra for an AHS musical. She has enjoyed her time playing and learning the pit music. Follow the yellow brick road straight to a great night, and somewhere over the rainbow a fantastic performance awaits!

Mackenzie Lockard, always quiet, reserved, and usually alone but not in this production and many more she has done, this is her first production in Altholton High School and is determined to make it worthwhile in the Wizard of Oz!

This is Brendan’s third time painting for a show at Atholton Hogh School. He loves painting and getting painted on by his crew.

Xavier is a sophomore and is new to the AHS theatre department. He’s in both the lighting and carpentry crews. He might be missing a brain, but he enjoys programming and volleyball, and is excited to see how this production turns out.

Hunter is excited to be in his second show here at Atholton in Oz. This is his second show at Atholton, and his seventh performance altogether. He is ready to laugh the day away with the cast and to be a part of this show.

Oliver Moser

(Props Crew) 

Oliver is a Junior here at Atholton. He loves animals, including his own little cowardly lion. They loved  helping out for the first time with props for this performance. At the end of the long day as always he finds his way down the yellow brick road, and to their own home, with his little dog. 

I’d like to thank my parents for encouraging me to get me into theater and my kitten, sylvie for being my silliest supporter.

Melissa Mpuga

(Pit)

Melissa is a senior at Atholton and a violinist in the pit orchestra. When she’s not dealing with the Cyclone that is homework and assignments, she likes watching medical dramas and hoping for more snow days. This is Melissa’s second show at AHS, and she’s really enjoyed diving into the melodies of Munchkinland this year!

Rosemary is a senior and it is her second year in the musical pit. She had a lot of fun doing pit in her junior year and in her last year at AHS, especially being able to pick up a new instrument and having the opportunity to transpose the musical.

Sam Nelson

(Props Crew) 

Sam Nelson is a 10th grader at Atholton High School and this is their fourth school production. They did crew for the Fall 2024 production of The Greek Mythology Olympiaganza; the Spring 2025 production of Spongebob; and, the Fall 2025 production of Clue. Sam also loves community theatre and has performed with Columbia Center for Theatre Arts (CCTA) in Footloose and currently is in production for Urinetown. Sam wants a brain from the Wizard, doesn’t think they’re in Oz anymore, is friends with a flying monkey, and can’t wait to hear what productions AHS Theatre will do next year!

Anne is a sophomore laughing her day away and it is her debut on the AHS stage. She is very excited to play along with the pit and can’t wait to get to the Merry Old Land of Oz.

Nicole Pereira is a senior and is proud to have been part of the AHS drama department for three years now! She feels lucky to have found a welcoming place somewhere over the rainbow in pit crew. June Proetorius is a sophomore and this is her second show at AHS. She has really enjoyed representing the Lullaby League and dancing through Munchkinland. She can’t wait for everyone to see the show!

Mad Schuster is in 11th grade and this is her her 5th show as AHS. When she’s not following the yellow-brick road or going off to see the wizard she enjoys reading, swimming, and spending time with friends.

Adam is a Senior at AHS, and has been a part of the department for four shows now. He has been working tirelessly with both the Sound and Carpentry Crews, and hopes that the Witch’s Castle turns out great.

Jayne is a senior at AHS, and this is her 4th production she has worked on as a member of paint crew.

Jayne would like to thank her friends in paint crew (Taylor and Lucie) for making Tech so enjoyable and something to look forward to. She would also like to thank her parents for being super supportive and showing up to every show! 

Nate Siegal

Nate is a Sophomore at AHS, and has done lighting crew for both of his years here. Wizard of Oz is his sixth show. He bikes and codes in his free time, and is learning both French and Russian.

Violet Smith-Rawson

Violet is having a great time in her first cast role in an AHS show. She has been in costume and makeup crew for the past three shows but decided to take a walk down the yellow brick road and become a munchkin. 

Shoutout to my mom, Holly Rawson, she helps the drama boosters so much. She is so creative and hardworking and I love her more than anyone.

Mason Stark

(Pit – Trumpet) 

Mason Stark is a 10th grader here at Atholton. This is his second show. He enjoys running and eating food. 

Georgia Swartz

(Pit) 

Georgia is a sophomore at AHS and it’s her first year playing in pit for the theatre department. She’s excited to be involved in such a fun journey down the yellow brick road with such a talented cast and crew.

Ava Tarpine is a student at AHS. This is her first show here, and although she loved playing the role she was born to be (a munchkin), she also enjoyed being a flying monkey. She is excited to be back next year!

Carson Thibeault

(Hickory)(Tinman) 

Carson is a senior at Atholton and has now been in two of the Spring musicals. He performed as SpongeBob in last year’s production of SpongeBob SquarePants: The Musical. Carson comes from a gymnastics and acrobatics background since the age of 7 years old. He loves to incorporate those skills in the roles that he plays as well as singing and dancing. Carson may be a little rusty after last year, but he has a huge heart for the Atholton drama department and putting on a wonderful show.

Patrick is a junior and has played percussion for three years.

Megan Wang

Megan is a junior at Atholton and this is her second production! She has had quite the journey down the yellow brick road in pit orchestra, and it was a total cyclone of fun learning the music. Outside of the musical, Megan enjoys to swim, hang out with friends, and listen to music. Megan has had a magical experience helping Dorothy find her way home and she hopes you enjoy the show!

Mikayla Washington

Mikayla is a sophomore at AHS and is so excited to be part of her first production here at Atholton. Even though it is her first year helping in a production she is not a stranger to theatre being in classes since middle school! She is so excited to see the Wizard with the rest of the audience and be apart of the making of Wizard of Oz.

Caitlin Wheeler

Caitlin is a senior and this is her first show. She’s enjoyed seeing the music notes on the page come to life as pit orchestra combined with the actors and sets to create the iconic masterpiece we all remember. Although we aren’t in Kansas anymore, she’s here in the pit making memories with everyone involved. Caitlin doesn’t have a Toto to call her own but she does have a lot of pet birds who love hearing her practice (they sing along but it’s a bit out of tune). She can’t wait to play in the pit for her first and last show!
